2024/2025 Enrolment Management Implementation Plan
Due to high enrolment demand, the Department of Education has provided Armstrong Creek School with an Enrolment Management Implementation Plan for the 2024 school year. This means we are unable to accept enrolment applications from primary-aged students who live outside our school zone unless:
The availability of places in our specialist enrolment pathway will be determined in Term 4 2024, once in-zone enrolments have been confirmed. If you would like your child to be considered for a place in our specialist enrolment pathway for 2025, you are invited to submit an Expression of Interest.
Enrolment applications remain open for secondary-aged students who meet our specialist enrolment eligibility criteria regardless of whether they live within our school zone.
Our school zone
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.
Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

Foundation (Prep) enrolments
The Department of Education (DE) has a statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.
The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Armstrong Creek School.
You can find information and resources about the enrolment timeline and procedures at: Enrolling in Foundation (Prep).
Armstrong Creek School – specialist enrolment pathway
Armstrong Creek School provides a specialist enrolment pathway for students with disability and high needs who have a mild intellectual disability. Our Enrolment Policy sets out the eligibility criteria for the specialist enrolment pathway.
In the primary year levels, all students participate in inclusive learning programs and school activities together, regardless of their enrolment pathway. Armstrong Creek School ensures that appropriate supports and accommodations are provided to all students. This is determined on a whole school, year level, class and individual basis, according to identified need and availability of resources.
At the end of Year 6, students who continue to meet the specialist enrolment criteria may attend secondary education at Armstrong Creek School or, if preferred, transition to another secondary school or a specialist school (subject to enrolment eligibility).
Students who meet the criteria for our specialist enrolment pathway may be eligible for bus transport if they live within our designated transport area. You can use the following link to determine whether your address falls within our designated transport area: Designated transport area search tool
Enrolment process and documentation
Prior to a student being enrolled at Armstrong Creek School, parents or guardians are requested to fill in an Enrolment Expression of Interest form to determine eligibility.
Once eligibility has been confirmed, prospective families will be emailed all the required enrolment documentation.
Enrolment inquiries that do not meet the enrolment criteria will also be advised via email.
Please find below a list of all the documents required to proceed with enrolment:
For the wellbeing of your child and the convenience of the school staff, please ensure that the following information on the enrolment form is kept up-to-date:
It is also necessary for parents to ensure that any custodial information is presented during enrolment. Custody papers must be presented to the Administration Officer and the school will also need to keep a copy of this documentation – this is kept strictly confidential. The custodial parent is asked to ensure that all necessary accurate information is given when enrolling.
